The Reluctant Messenger of Science and Religion
Searching For Truth

This site was a wonderful jewel in my education, with a high-ranking spot on my Bookmark list, so I must thank you for your role in my reawakening to the truth I knew as a child, but that was drowned somewhere along the line.
If I may, I'd like to share this poem I wrote with you, since you helped inspire it.
I set out searching for the truth,
knowing all I had been told were lies.
I searched and I found in the end,
that the truth is in your choice of lies.
I searched religion, science, and wisdom for the answer,
and found only that I'd asked the wrong questions.
Of course I didn't understand the reply,
I thought the reply was a failing on my part.
God does not need humans to coerce you into His service,
God is with you, here and now, whispering the truth in your mind's ear.
Truth is not in the God others tell you to worship,
Truth is in the God that asks you personally for your worship.
Theorize about things too grand or too small to fathom,
but in the end it can only be proven through what is here and now.
Truth is not in the science of what might be,
Truth is in the science of what is.
Wisdom can not separate you from reality,
Wisdom can only help you accept the here and now.
Truth is not in the wisdom that will set you free,
Truth is in the wisdom that you are free.
